Our tranquil 1860 suite is newly remodeled and provides a relaxing stay for 1 to 3 people. Set alongside Cincinnati OH and thriving MainStrasse Village in Covington KY, this charming suite is located next to everything else cool and trendy in Downtown, Bellevue and Newport! It’s only four blocks from the Ohio River.
THE SPACE
The Slanted House is perfect for a small group to solo travelers, business trips, families with kids, and furry friends. You’ll feel like you’re at home with a fully-stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, outdoor patio, Netflix on Apple TV, Alexa through out, complimentary drinks, coffee, snacks and more!
This suite is located on the first floor of a two-family and allows for super easy on-street parking right in front of the home. There is relaxing patio space located alongside the row house for sipping cocktails or coffee.
BE A GEEK in this Smart Home and control the Hue Lighting, limitless music, and house temperature with your personal assistant Alexa. There is also extremely high-speed wireless internet and a multi-port USB station for charging up devices. For your ENTERTAINMENT, we offer free Netflix, Apple TV, and have an antenna for local channels. Feel free to log into your own HULU, HBO, Sling, Disney+, Amazon Prime, etc. accounts as well. Note: we do not have cable.
Snuggle up in a gel-infused memory foam queen-size bed in the BEDROOM then ask Alexa to help you drift away with sleep sounds or soft music. There is a desk in the bedroom for private workspace. If using the sofa to sleep, you must cover it with the provided linens / pillows in the towel closet.
The LIVING ROOM has a 55-inch Apple TV, games, puzzles, and toys for the kiddos. We provide the popcorn! Enjoy a little something extra most places don’t have …. our foot massager! Ahhhhhhh.
In the BATHROOM we provide all towels, linens, and toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush / toothpaste, and bath gel so you don’t have to tote them. Enjoy the personalized tall shower with many unique settings such as waterfall and massage.
The KITCHEN is decked out with everything you’ll need for preparing meals at home. If it’s not there, we want to know so we can add it! Take a peek through our cabinets and drawers - you’ll find spices and herbs, pots ’n pans, baking dishes, cutting boards, knives, and many other helpful items. We offer a Cuisinart single serve coffee maker, designed to brew a coffee pod (provided) or fresh whole beans (provided). It brews both! We also have a hot/cold milk frother (buy your favorite dairy or non-dairy at the gas station around the corner on Russell St. or at the gas station a few houses up toward Johnson St.).
Want to add a couple more guests? See if Aways Friday is available upstairs and enjoy the entire house together. We also have The Tres House and House of Liebe one street over …. they sleep 6 each.
Easy on-street parking! You’ll almost always find a spot in front of the house. Note - On Mondays (from 8am - 10am), they do street cleaning on the left so you have to park on the right side of 5th Street. On Tuesdays (from 8am - 10am), they clean the other side (the right) so you have to park on the left side of 5th Street.
If you do plan to stay with a pet, please mention it so we can discuss specifics. No cats, dogs only. Note the number of pets at the time of your inquiry or reservation (2 dog limit please.) We charge a Pet Resort Fee of $20 per stay.
