Positive: The location. We had a function to attend and it was near.

Negative: It had not been properly cleaned. I walked in the unit in my bare feet, then noticed the soles of my feet were BLACK. The shower in the spare room smelled moldy & musty. Everything needed dusted. The baseboard heaters were very dirty. There was no book/manual to tell us how to use the array of remotes, or anything else about the unit. We never were able to figure out how to lock the door upon leaving, so it remained unlocked while gone. Some boxes of facial tissues around the unit would’ve been nice. The glass stovetop needed a good cleaning—lots of dried food. A bird had taken up housekeeping on the master bedroom terrace, so we were unable to use the lower level terrace. A spot a bird feces was on the floor INSIDE the sliding glass door when we arrived, so I’m assuming that at some point the bird was inside! I need message the management about the dirty floors & they offered to send a crew to clean. I said no, because we couldn’t have that inconvenience when we were going to be in and out all day. So we just never took our shoes off in the unit. This is sad…it’s a nice unit in a nice location, but without proper maintenance, I would never stay there again.

Summary: The lack of a good cleaning prior to our arrival was our reason for giving a poor rating.
