Light, bright, and modern the pool house is located in the quiet neighborhood of Pleasant Hills, just 10 miles from Disneyland, 25 miles from the beach, and 2 miles from a quaint downtown with movie theaters, restaurants, nightlife, and the Brea mall. There several major hospitals nearby along with two Tesla Supercharging locations.
The name “Oasis” describes the property well. The two giant king palms welcome you into the gated property with circular driveway entrance giving you the feeling of arriving at a private estate. Enter through the gate that opens up to a courtyard with two pomegranate trees and a wall of bamboo that creates privacy from neighbors and leads you to the guest house located in the back portion of the property.
The yard is spacious and functional, providing the indoor-outdoor living experience that we are grateful to experience here in CA including a fuyu persimmon tree, an orange tree, and a guava tree (help yourself if there is fruit on the trees!). An herb garden is just steps outside, and a few more steps leads you to the gazebo with table to enjoy a glass of wine or a meal outside or use it as an area to work and enjoy the great outdoors while on a Zoom call. While not working, relax in the jucuzzi with a glass of wine or enjoy the pool to cool off or swim a few laps.
Inside, the 18-foot cathedral ceilings and clear story windows gives it it’s feeling of spaciousness. The house is 500 sf and has 2 levels including a loft (second bedroom) with workspace and futon as an extra sleeping space. The loft is open to the living room downstairs and is accessed by a spiral staircase.
Our guests are typically traveling nurses, snowbirds visiting friends/family, families moving to the area or visiting for a school or training program, and professionals working remotely.
You will be provided with the keypad code for access. We are available if you need us. Host lives in the main house.
GUEST REQUIREMENTS
The minimum age to book is 25 years old (families with kids are welcome).
To make it more affordable for individuals or couples, there is an additional fee of $150 per month per person after the first 2 people.
DEPOSITS AND CLEANING FEES FOR STAYS OF 28+ NIGHTS
For stays of 28 nights or longer, the following refundable deposits apply:
Refundable damage deposit: $100
Refundable cleaning deposit: $350
The cleaning fee for stays of 28 nights or longer is $200, which is higher than the short-term cleaning fee shown in the listing. The difference between the initial cleaning fee paid upon booking and the $200 fee will be collected along with the deposits before check-in.
Immediately after booking, you will receive our short-term rental agreement to review and accept.
PETS: HAPPY PAWS COMMUNITY PROGRAM
Beginning in December 2023, we are happy to announce our Happy Paws Community Program to help local animal shelters re-home and save the lives of animals.
We donate 25% of all pet fees to a local animal shelter or animal rescue. We also offer our Happy Paws promotion for pet parents who help us spread the word about the program.
HAPPY PAWS PROMOTION
To participate, follow us on Instagram at @yellowbrickroadhomesplus, then post a picture of your pet at our property on Instagram and tag @yellowbrickroadhomesplus. The picture must be posted before check-out. The refund will be provided within 5 days after check-out.
MONTHLY PET FEES
The pet fee is $150 per dog per month. For approved non-shedding dogs on our list, the monthly fee is $95 per dog.
If you participate in our Happy Paws promotion, you will receive a $25 discount per dog for the first month. The discounted first-month rates are $125 per standard dog and $70 per approved non-shedding dog.
NON-SHEDDING DOG VERIFICATION
If your dog is on the approved non-shedding dog list, we will need a picture (selfie) of you and your pet(s) together before check-in. This can be submitted through the check-in form, which will be sent 5 days before your stay.
REFUNDABLE PET DEPOSIT
A refundable pet deposit of $500 is required if you bring more than 2 approved pets.

ECO-FRIENDLY CLEANING SUPPLIES
For your convenience in cleaning up messes or spills, we provide handiwipes and bar rags as an eco-friendly alternative to paper towels. We also provide Swedish dishcloths instead of sponges.
There is a sign in the house explaining the benefits of these alternatives. However, if you prefer paper towels or sponges during your stay, feel free to bring your own.
