Welcome to adorable all sports Huzzy Lake! Our hilltop lakefront cottage is 30 minutes from Kalamazoo and 2 1/2 hours from Chicago. We are located on a private dirt road at the top of a hill. Perched up high for gorgeous sunset views & lounging on the deck. We have lake access down a steep staircase for fit individuals. Perhaps a challenge for some small kiddos but not impossible. At the water we have a deck and a small boat house with various flotation devices. You can launch right off the deck. The water there is 3 to 4 feet deep. If you have small children...about a 10 minute walk away is a public access/boat launch that has a nice sloping sandy bottom....a great place for swimming. The cottage has a very large front yard for playing yard games. We love the cottage for it’s modern amenities yet vintage charm. There’s a large fully stocked gourmet kitchen with farm sink that is open to a large dining area and the living room. The living room has a gorgeous brick fireplace and a vinyl record player for you to spin music on. There is a large supply of books and games also available to you during your stay. Additionally there is a cozy TV room/sunroom with Netflix/Hulu & Roku TV. Wi-Fi available also. All linens provided.
This neighborhood is surrounded by vineyards too...fun hiking. We love the cottage year around for the gorgeous fall colors…snowshoeing in the winter through the vineyards and gorgeous Huzzy to swim in in the summer. We have very kind neighbors they appreciate a respectable noise level.
