Welcome to peaceful and private Shapleigh pond! An 82 acre pond with no public access makes this the perfect spot to relax, fish, paddle board and more. Great fishing right off the dock or 2 kayaks and 1 canoe provided for you to enjoy time out on the water. Snowmobile and walking trails right out the front door give you even more room to explore. Bring yours toys or enjoy ours!
This cozy 4 bedroom cottage with rustic pine interior includes 2 bedrooms downstairs each with queen beds. Upstairs features 2 more bedrooms with views of the water, one with 2 twin beds and the other with 3 twin beds. Perfect for the kids, friends, or put together for more couples.
Enjoy your morning coffee on the beautiful three seasons porch or out on the deck (our favorite spots), both overlooking the water. The deck is the perfect place to throw your catch on the BBQ while you watch the fish jump. Listen to the birds and enjoy a campfire in the pit down by the water while your roast marshmallows and look at the stars.
Stocked kitchen with new appliances available to cook indoors if needed, but we bet you’ll be spending a lot of your time outdoors. If you’d rather eat out there are several great local places to eat. We highly recommend The Carriage House Bistro and Tavern for dinner and drinks after a round of golf at Province Lake Golf Course. Check out Blue Bay Restaurant in Wakefield for dinner and drinks. If you’d like to take a little drive, head over to our hometown of Cornish where you’ll find Sacopee Valley House of Pizza for breakfast and lunch, Krista’s Restaurant, and Bay Haven Lobster Pound Restaurant. Also filled with great antique and crafters shops.
Make sure to check out Newfield’s Thurston and Peter’s Sugarhouse for Maine made maple syrup and ice cream. Harris Turkey Farm is another local treat with homemade potpies, soups, paninis made with their farm fresh turkeys. There’s also Gneiss Brewery nearby with tasting room and popular food truck options.
Lots to do nearby including disc golf, apple picking, and plenty of hiking if you want to venture out. If you prefer to stay in, there are plenty of board/card games, books, and TVs with Rokus for you to unwind. We are lifelong residence of the area and can help you with any needs or questions you might have.
