The space
Welcome to nature at its finest, as we have it all! We are a 5 acre homestead nestled at the back door to the Gorge where many say is much quieter than the Gorge! Your experience off grid begins as you arrive to park at your bridge access where you'll hike about 45 SECONDS into the woods back to your Little Lodge. You are completely surrounded by nature and mountains as we are located at the very back of a holler.
The Little Lodge itself is a unique experience. Enjoy reading it's story when you arrive! It is completely off grid, has tons of all natural lighting, LED candles, and LED lantern. It is recommended you bring head lamps/lamps/flashlights for trail. Even though we are a fully insulated Lodge we also have a wonderful wood stove and heat blower, and windows/door with screens. The Little Lodge is under a full canopy in our woods April-Nov, so it is quite comfortable in the Lodge even on hotter days. We also offer a very nice cooling fan with hook up if you'd like! You also have a unique attached wood chip compost bathroom, this is designed so the guest never has to leave the Lodge, but can still remain an off grid experience. It is a very simple to use system, well sealed and fully ventilated for freshness, but also removable if you prefer. We provide a outdoor camping shower, but no privacy shower stall currently, so feel free to use with swimwear/etc! Towels NOT provided.
The Little Lodge is 167 sq ft of cozy! Super comfortable for 2, and cozy and snug for 4 (2 adults, 1-2 kids) as we have a very plush memory foam twin mattress on the main level and a queen memory foam mattress in the loft. The loft is accessible by ladder only, not suitable for toddlers/babies/young children etc, use at your own discretion. Note: loft roof is A angled (as seen in picture) so if over 5’6”/7” you may not want to sleep in loft.
The Lodge is mostly toxin free! I have tried to keep each guest in mind with providing safe metals for dining, biodegradable products, reusable products, and toxin free washers and cleaners, all 100% pure essential oils. We also ask you to refrain from spraying bug sprays/etc off the property as we are a NO SPRAY ZONE and neighbor to one of the United States best bee breeders!
We provide 1 Gallon of water per day for washing (not drinking) to use in the water dispenser above the kitchen wash bin. Amongst a fully stocked (yet minimalistic) kitchen it includes a one burner butane stove (butane NOT provided), french press, and wood stove to cook on. We offer a collection of teas, coffees, and mulling spices for you to enjoy at your coffee bar. Bring your own drinking water, and ice. We provide a cooler indoors!

Your order will be located on the way up the trail, for you to carry (about a 15 second hike). MUST PAY AHEAD OF TIME, SEND ME REQUEST MSG
Wifi...you may be able to catch it in the little lodge, but you can at the nearby Lions Club/Church/or KFB for free wifi. You'll find multiple listings on local restaurants, attractions, shopping, and experiences in the Lodge as well.

ALL dogs welcome but must be contained on leash/lead (lead provided) at site as we have free range animals.
Our neighbors...we have wonderful neighbors farther away, but we ask that visitors respect the after hours quiet times from 10pm-8 am.
Please note your parking spot is directly at your 25 ft wooden bridge to your trail to your lodge. Take the mulch trail following the black ribbons up to your Lodge up the hill!
Our time is very valuable. If failure to check out at 10 am, you will be charged an additional $50 late fee.
We take safety very seriously. Here are a few other things we provide in addition to main door deadbolt, and fire alarm. Fire extinguisher, large 5 gallon bucket of water for fire pit ER put out, loft railing, and a fire escape ladder for loft window.
Guest access
You will have your own parking spot, bridge access, and trail to your lodge and lodge surrounding area. You are welcome to wade in the creek (at your own risk) but ask you to stay on the trail only due to nearby property lines.

We live in the woods! GPS has a hard time finding us at times. So...take a left at the church when you come to the fork. From there drive till the road ends at a yellow gate. Right before that you will see a gravel spot to the left of a navy blue gate. Park on the gravel in spot 1 or 2. Note, trash can is right next to your spot for your trash when you leave.
