The space
The home has four bedrooms and four beds. There is a queen size bed in the master bedroom and a full size bed in the other bedrooms. The bonus room also has a sleeper sofa that is the size of a full bed in addition to a full bed as well. So a total of four beds, three fulls, one queen, and one sleeper sofa. The living room and bonus room have a 40 inch mounted smart tv with DVD player, and each bedroom has its own 32” mounted smart tv. The bonus room has a half bath, the master bedroom has its own bathroom and the other two rooms share a bathroom.. The two bathrooms have a bathtub and there are bath toys in the hall bathroom. There is a full kitchen with new appliances and two dining tables, linens, towels, dishes, cutlery, keurig and coffee pods are all provided. The living room has two sofas, and the home includes board games and children books as well as some outside toys and chairs for use in the yard. There is a burn pit, a grill, charcoal and kindling provided. The deck has an outdoor dining table, the front porch has a swing and the backyard has a wind rider for older children to play on and an infant bucket swing for younger children. The front yard has a banana seat swing. There is a two car garage and secure entry is through the front door with a code. Motion lights are above the garage. The automatic garage door buttons are over the steps leading down to the garage. The driveway is paved and the location is quiet and peaceful.
*I use standard cleaning products including but not limited to Clorox, Lysol, and Windex with ammonia along with other typical cleaning products based on supply and availability. My cleaning products are strong cleaning agents because I like to well sanitize the home between every guest. If you have personal sensitivities and would prefer I use a more mild yet still effective cleaning agent such as a mixture of vinegar, water, baking soda, and Dawn, please let me know at booking so I can make the necessary accommodations for your stay.
**I hosted a guest who wished I had better cookware. They checked out Thursday and by Saturday I had completely updated not only the cookware but also added additional small appliances in the kitchen such as a blender, an electric tea kettle, a crockpot, and a host of additional kitchen gadgets. I already had a small drawer of kitchen gadgets, and for the cookware I had purchased a box that was a basic set, which I donated to charity after I updated the cookware. I have taken pictures of these and added them to my photo gallery. Reviews are very important to me and I read them all and implement suggestions guests have. I always appreciate when the suggestion is sent in a private note following the review or even written in my guest journal I’ve provided with a purpose in part for suggestions.
Guest access
The entire home and premises is available to the guests. Check in time is 4:00 pm and checkout time is by 11:00 am.
Other things to note
We have a no pet policy and we also don’t allow smoking or parties. No parking in the yard or on the street.
The three main rooms and two bathrooms are on the main floor and there are two small steps at the top of the sidewalk leading to the front porch into the house. The home is not handicapped accessible but as long as you’re able to manage some basic steps there are two. However there is a steep flight of stairs that lead downstairs which I would by no means recommend to anyone with mobility issues. The downstairs though can also be accessed off the driveway by simply going through the garage and no steps are required in that case. There is a bonus room downstairs as well as a half bath and washer/ dryer. But then back through the garage up the sidewalk to avoid the steep flight of stairs which leads from the downstairs into the main level of the house, it can also be accessed both ways easily from outside, the downstairs through the garage without any steps, and the upstairs from the front porch with only two steps.
