Welcome to Wander Michigan Shores, a refined lakeside escape in South Haven where luxury meets comfort. This spacious home features panoramic Lake Michigan views, lightning-fast Wi-Fi, and dedicated workspaces. POOL
The pool is open from mid-April to October. Please note that the heater is on a timer from 10 AM to 6 PM.
When open, the pool is serviced on Thursdays or Fridays. The spa technician will not access the home interior to maintain your privacy.
CELL SERVICE
The cellular service for a few carriers, including AT&T, can be spotty near the lake in South Haven. We recommend taking note of the WiFi password and access code beforehand, which is available on the “Trips” tab in the Wander app. Also, it's best to set your phone to Wi-Fi calling when in our home to ensure good service.
WILDLIFE WARNING
Please be aware that wildlife populations including bears are high in the area. We kindly remind families to keep a close eye on children, avoid leaving food outside (including residue in the grill and fire), secure all garbage, and keep doors and windows closed. Please do not feed or engage bears.
QUIET HOURS
Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 8 AM. We kindly ask that you refrain from hosting parties or creating excessive noise during your stay, as we strive to maintain a peaceful environment for both our guests and neighbors. Amplified outdoor sounds are strictly prohibited.
PRIVACY
Beach Access
While Wander Michigan Shores has a private dock with stairs down to the water, there is no private beach access.
Landscaping
A landscaping contractor will work on the exterior areas of the property every Monday morning. Rest assured, they will not disturb your group.
SAFETY NOTICE
Swimming Safety & Advisory:
Lake Michigan can experience strong waves and powerful currents, which may create hazardous swimming conditions near the home. There are no lifeguards or safety patrols in this area, and anyone entering the lake does so at their own risk.
The South Haven Public Beach safety report provides live updates on conditions at the lake, so be sure to check it before entering the water.
For safety, always supervise children near the water, and use life jackets when swimming.
TRAILS
We strongly recommend arriving in an all-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive vehicle, as gravel roads leading to the property are steep and bumpy. Ensuring your vehicle is equipped and driving carefully will help make your arrival as smooth and safe as possible.
For safety, when your tires begin to spin on the gravel, stop, then accelerate slowly rather than pressing harder on the gas. Please note that the speed limit on all roads is 15 MPH.
NO PETS ALLOWED
This is a pet-free hypoallergenic space. No pets are allowed inside the home to maintain a hypoallergenic area as much as possible for our guests’ comfort.
HOUSE & COMMUNITY RULES
Fires must never be left unattended and must be fully extinguished with water after use. Fires are permitted only in designated fire pits or fireplaces and are not allowed on windy days or during drought conditions.
The use of firearms and fireworks is strictly prohibited in and around the property at any time.
Please do not trespass onto neighboring properties.
Outside lighting must remain turned off between 10 PM and 8 AM.
