Travel Purpose: business

Positive: Loved the cabin’s layout with plenty of windows. Nestled amount the trees it offers a peaceful lake view from the cozy porch, complete with rocking chairs. I had to contact the local manager, Felicia, who was responsive and very helpful. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the cabin - it felt like a treehouse with a lakeview. The property itself is very nice, with plenty of towels, blankets, kitchen accessories and propane was provided. We had no issues with the shower or toilet. My husband, dog and I had a lovely time, had great weather and really enjoyed relaxing on the back deck with the lake view. We had “perfect” weather and the leaves were beginning to change. We would consider returning.

Negative: Didn’t like the steep hill to the lake, there were no chairs on the dock and you have to go across a blind curve to get to the lake. You have to be careful!! Although you could park at the bottom of the driveway, it is not the easiest to have lake access. It should have more clear in the description and it felt misleading about the “Lakeside Cashiers Cabin”…they should say LAKEVIEW not lakeside. Important to mention that the walk to the lake is steep and might not be suitable for older adults or those with mobility issues. The golf cart is old and non-functioning. You would also need to watch children closely when headed to the lake and carrying your own chairs, umbrellas etc is inconvenient. We did not use the pull out couch but the mattress looked uncomfortable so they might want to consider replacing it. Although the boat dock was not the easiest to access, it is large, relatively new and the lake is very nice. You could use the kayaks and life jackets are supplied.

Summary: “Lakeview Treehouse” with large deck for relaxing and enjoying the view! Close to Cashiers
