Get the best of both worlds. Kick back and relax in this quiet neighborhood home on Mercer Island without all the hustle and bustle of the city. Located smack-dab in the middle of the two cities, you couldn’t find a better spot to see what the pacific northwest has to offer. We take pride in our home and ensure our guests have the best stay possible- it’s the little touches that make a difference. The house is 2,300 sq feet on nearly .25 acre home with lush, beautiful gardens and an amazing private entertaining space. A fully-stocked eat-in kitchen has everything you could need for cooking and entertaining. We also have a small propane grill available if you’d like to take advantage of the outdoors. Cozy up in our spacious family room -includes large sectional and tulip chairs, gas fireplace & large flat screen TV for enjoying shows and movies. The living room opens into a formal dining room with gorgeous walnut built-in cabinets and seating for up to 8. A master suite with a giant walk-in closet has its own access to garden and patio. On the opposite side of the house are 2 bedrooms - 1 ensuite with queen bed and 3/4 bath. The room also includes two large cedar lined closets. Next door is a smaller room with a twin trundle and plenty of closet space. for additional sleeping accommodations, we also have a queen size mattress that fits on the floor of the master bedroom and a versa mat floor mattress (best suited for children). Explore the Island! Head over to Pioneer Park for miles of beautiful hiking or enjoy water views and beach access of our public beaches (Clarke Beach, Luther Burbank Park & Beach, Calkins Landing, Groveland Beach Park- under construction as of 8/12/18). We have beach towels available! Have kids? We have a list of the great local parks for them burn some energy. Easy bus ride or drive to Seattle or Bellevue gives you all tourism opportunities you could ask for. You will have access to the entire house, except garage. There is plenty of outdoor parking in circle driveway. Transportation is pretty easy here. If you don’t have a car Uber and Lyft are readily available. Direct bus routes make it extremely easy to get into the city to SAFECO Field and Century Link Field for Mariners, Seahawks, Sounders games and great concerts. You can also easily access Pike Place Market or downtown Bellevue via public transit. The bus is my family’s preferred method of transport to Seattle. You can hop on one of the King County busses just a few blocks away or head to the park & ride downtown. I highly recommend the “Seattle” App. It’s green and has a bus for the logo. This is the best tool for planning trips on public transit. If you’d like to bike around the island (or to Seattle and Bellevue) check out Lime Bikes located on the island.
