This one-of-a-kind mid-century modern gem is on the National Register of Historic Places. Nestled on a wooded private lot, it has an open floor plan with a stone fireplace, marble floors, built-ins, and is only minutes from downtown. Called the Daniel House, this unique house was built in 1948 and is a wonderful example of mid-century modern architecture.
Uniquely built into a hillside from salvaged Quonset hut structural supports, the house is only 10 minutes to downtown Knoxville (and the stadium) but offers a lot of privacy due to the wooded lot. Guests will love the distinctive architectural features and its use of indigenous local materials, including the marble slab walls and floors. There is a Quenn-sized Tempurapedic bed in the master bedroom and also a queen in the guest bedroom. A 50" flat screen TV with DVD player, cable, and wireless internet is also provided. The house is complete with all amenities, including a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and a garage for your car.
