River Lodge in Island Park Idaho, 33 miles from the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park, is located directly on the banks of the famed Henry’s Fork River. Our Family Cabin sleeps up to 20 people in three large bedrooms. The cabin is two storied with a large kitchen, dining room, one bedroom, and a large living room at the ground floor. Two more large bedrooms are located upstairs. The downstairs bedroom with 2 queen beds is perfect for whom would rather not deal with stairways.
The space
Island Park is a perfect getaway for large group gatherings, family reunions, romantic escapes, or a pleasant stop on your way to Yellowstone or Grand Teton National Park.
The River Lodge Family Cabin is a vacation home within walking distance of the river and services. It has a fully stocked kitchen (less your groceries), deck, and cozy living room. It is a perfect setting for family vacations or groups of friends.
The lodge is located centrally in our portion of Island Park along Highway 20, commonly referred to as Last Chance. Our neighbors include three flyshops, a gas/grocery mart, three restaurants, a snowmobile/atv dealer, and numerous private cabins. Most of these services are within walking distance from the cabin. Evening strolls along the river, wetting a fly line, or taking your bike out for a ride are all easily done.
From a vehicle, numerous hikes, parks, fishing spots, and other services are available in less than 10 minutes. We are very close to the entrance of Harriman State Park, which offers 22 miles of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails that slink through meadows, meander along river banks and through lush evergreen forests. Some of the best fly fishing waters in the nation flow through eight miles of Harriman State Park, known by anglers all over the world over as “the Ranch.” Moose, elk and Trumpeter Swans, the world’s largest waterfowl species, are a common sight at Harriman.
The Lodge is surrounded with outdoor adventures like fly fishing, rafting, sightseeing, horseback riding, mountain biking, snowmobiling, hiking and more.

The lodge is private so parking is not a problem.

River Lodge is a family owned operation and we also operate other guest cabins and lodge rooms on the property. Our sister property, Anglers Lodge and Riverfront Restaurant are within walking distance. We operate mostly seasonally with the summer being our largest season, but we do offer rooms in the shoulder and winter season. Our staff are dedicated to making sure you enjoy every moment in Yellowstone Country and have a wonderful stay!
