The East Entrance of Yellowstone National Park is a two hour drive from the ranch. Guests enjoy abundant trails, hiking, fishing, hunting, biking, camping, stargazing, and incredible scenic and wildlife photographic opportunities. The Double L Bar Ranch is a historic guest ranch and home to grizzly bears, bighorn sheep, elk, deer, pronghorn antelope, mountain lions, coyotes, and wolves. This secluded property borders the Shoshone National Forest Lands and BLM land with Hardpan Creek and the Southfork of the Shoshone River running through. A 3 mile hike out the backdoor will put you in the Washakie Wilderness with amazing viewing opportunities. Check-in: 4 PM, Check Out: 11 AM. The access to the lodge can accommodate automobiles but SUV's and four wheel drive are recommended.
