The Space:
Our cozy park home has everything you need to enjoy your stay at the lake, including a great view of the lake from the living room and kitchen through multiple windows. Park your boat at the dock, sip your morning coffee and evening cocktails on the large patio overlooking the lake, and swim in beautiful Lake Metigoshe at our own little sand beach. This park home has a loft with a queen bed, which comfortably sleeps two, with small TV and little 2-drawer dresser. In the living room area there are full-sized bunk beds with a pull out bed underneath for a total of 3 beds. There is also an 8x12ft shed between the park home and the lake, which can be used seasonally as there is no heat or air conditioning in the shed. The shed has one set of queen-sized bunk beds (currently no mattresses, but can easily use air mattresses). If you get creative, you can sleep 8-9 people. There is a full bathroom with shower (no tub) and washer and dryer. Use the full kitchen to cook meals for all. There is no formal dining room, but there are chairs at the counter in the kitchen and plenty of room on the deck.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the full property while they are here, including the cabin, shed with additional sleeping option, two level patio, and dock on Lake Metigoshe. Parking is available in front of the cabin. Two kayaks are also available for use.
The Neighborhood:
Lake Metigoshe is a beautiful destination lake. Metigoshe State Park is just a 5 minute drive away. There are several restaurants with docks around the lake for your dining pleasure. Gas for boats can be found on the lake (boat in gas station) at Larson Marine. Alternatively there is gas available at any of the local gas stations. The A-Frame bar and grill is a great spot for lunch and supper. They have docks available, but no overnight boat parking. Bottineau, ND is a short 15 minutes away. There you can find Walmart, a grocery store, hardware store, etc.
Getting Around:
There is plenty of room for parking at the cabin for your car and your boat! You'll need to put the boat in the water at the public access point (search Lake Metigoshe Hahns Bay Boating Access), which is just a few minutes up the road. There is no driveway, but there is room for 2-3 cars on the side of the house. Just don't park on the neighbor's property :)
Other Things to Note:
Lake Metigoshe is a 4-season lake, meaning there are things to do all year round. Enjoy boating, water skiing, and other water sports in the summer and cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, ice fishing, etc in the winter. Downhill skiing and sledding is also available in the winter at Bottineau Winter Park.
