This single-story cottage sits about half a mile from historic downtown Sumner, an old-fashioned community affectionately known as the Rhubarb Pie Capital of the World. When you're not strolling down Main Street, you'll find much to do nearby. Go boating, kayaking, or paddling at Lake Tapps Park (seven miles), tee off at the Tapps Island Golf Course (nine miles), or check out one of the excellent museums in downtown Tacoma (14 miles). Even Mt. Rainier National Park - one of the most incredible landscapes in the Pacific Northwest - is within an easy day trip (54 miles).
Each day here begins on the covered front porch, where you can sip your morning coffee in the company of the stars and stripes. After a day spent out and about, relax in the afternoon breeze as your kids play in the front or backyard.
