This cottage (casita) of dreams (de sueños) is located in the historic district of Mesilla Park, Las Cruces NM. It was built in 1938 and was originally the horse stables for the main house on the property. In the 50s it got converted to a casita, but kept its unique shape and layout. This 800 sq ft cottage gives you pure tranquility sitting in the valley of Las Cruces. Even on those extra hot desert days you still feel cool in this adobe style cottage with plenty of tree cover and shade.
This is a one bathroom, one bedroom casita with a queen sized mattress. There is a living and dining room with a built in breakfast nook. A small kitchen with a stove and refrigerator. Outdoor sitting and dining areas with outdoor grill and fireplace. The space itself was designed by NJ transplant and local interior designer Jamie of Studio Langan, Ltd. Co. You’ll notice cozy small details throughout the casita that make it feel like home.
Guests can access their fenced in property and the back yard garden for any fresh herbs or veggies during their stay.
We live on the same property as the casitas and keep you ourselves during your stay. But we’re available via phone call or text if needed.
There’s two bicycles on the property for guests to use, we ask that you lock them up after use. Please text us for the lock combinations.
